hired Gayle for my wedding day hair and make up over the internet without any
trials from New York City where I live. I
was planning my destination wedding/elopement and could not meet with any of my
wedding vendors. After
reading many wonderful reviews about Gayle's services on Wedding Wire, I felt
that I would be in good hands. She
was also great and quick at responding e-mails and following up on my many
questions.
On
the day of the wedding she showed up early and started working right away.
Her personality and professionalism put me at ease even though I was
stressed out over other things. She
did a wonderful job on both my hair and make up and exceeded my expectations. On
my wedding day it was very hot and I also cried during my ceremony, yet the
make up held up perfectly.
I
also hired Gayle to do my hair and make up for the after wedding portraits that
took place a couple days later in San Francisco. I
really appreciated how flexible Gayle was and could travel to both of the
locations. Again,
she did a great job with the hair and make up. I
have received many compliments from my friends and family who saw my wedding
photos.
Gayle
is wonderful with both hair and make up and she has a great and friendly
personality as well. Her
rates are very reasonable too .I
would highly recommend her without any hesitations. Definitely
one of the best and easiest decision I made about my wedding.

Gayle is fabulous! She is a true artist who helped me feel gorgeous on my wedding day. What I loved about her is that she was willing to accommodate
all my requests and carefully listened to all my mom's concerns. She's super patient and very talented
On the wedding day, Gayle arrived with suitcase full of hair accessories and let me wear one of her hair pieces when I decided I din't like mine that much. She made me and my mom look absolutely beautiful and her work lasted through
the whole night!

Thanks Gayle for your patience with me and my bridal party. I took
a risk by deciding to \have Gayle do hairstyling for my wedding only
through a recommendation and by viewing her work from the website.
I'm glad I took the risk, because she did a fine job for all of us inspite of
not having any trial at all. She worked well with us and giving us the
look and hairstyles we wanted, while giving us professional inputs on
what looked good and what was possible (or not!). I got a lot of compliments
for my hairstyle. And although the style was my choice, it was Gayle's
hands that made it happen.

I was really concerned initially with finding the right person for the
right price that could help us with our busy day of events and with so many
girls in our wedding (my husband's choosing to have 8 attendants each, gosh!),
but I am so thankful for Gayle! From her
friendly, quick communication and setting up a wonderful initial consultation,
to her flexibly and finding someone to assist early enough for us all to be
ready on time. You did such a fabulous
job. Everyone loved their hair and
make-up and I couldn't have been happier . My look lasted all day and night
(even after our windy open-window car ride to the reception and dancing late
into the night, those curls really lasted!!) and it was so beautiful!

I wanted to thank you so much for the amazing job you did on my hair
and my three bridesmaids for my wedding! You were so easy to work
with and you made doing our hair a fun and relaxing experience! I

even though I hadn't done a trial. I received numerous compliments on
my hair and the best part was that it stayed in place and I didn't have
to worry about it at all during the ceremony and esp. the dancing!

After a horrible trial hair & makeup experience with another stylist,
i found gayle and booked a trial with her. she understood my previous
bad experience and did everything she could to put me at ease. She asks
for inspiration photos for both hair and makeup before you meet with her,
and she really spent time to study these before we met. she took her time
during the trial to make sure every detail was perfect and that i was happy
with our results so she knew what to do on the wedding day. the morning
of the wedding, she was a calming presence and really took her time to make
every detail perfect. both hair and makeup looked even better the day of the
wedding and i couldn't have been happier! thank you gayle!!

I found Gayle through a work reference at almost the very last minute.
From the moment I met her she put me at ease, and I felt completely safe
in her hands. I just knew that whatever she came up with would look
fabulous and it did! On our first meeting, she took the time to listen to
what I thought I wanted, asked about the dress and the day and time and,
within minutes it seemed, had created this beautiful semi-up-do which
looked effortless and natural and utterly beautiful. When I left that day
I had every confidence she would take great care of my bridesmaids and
myself, and she did! My wedding was a midday wedding located about
an hour away from the location where I was getting ready so Gayle had
to show up quite early, but she was there on time, with a big smile and
even had tissue at hand when I got a bit sniffly. I cannot say enough
that is good about her, if I ever have the excuse to get my hair done up
again, I wouldn't hesitate to call her, or recommend her to anyone else.

Gayle,I cannot tell you how many positive comments I received about how I looked
in my make-up and hair---everyone told me I looked "gorgeous" and it felt really true.
Gayle invited me to a free consultation at her studio in her home to discuss
what I wanted for my wedding day. On the wedding day, she came to the
wedding venue on time, this saved so much time during a jam-packed day.
She created a wonderful look for me and I received so many positive
comments from my guests about how I looked---everyone loved the
flowered headpiece in my hair which she placed and well-secured it
so it would not fall off during the evening. I would recommend Gayle
to any bride who wants to look her best on this very special day in her life.
And I want to say that I am not the usual young bride---I am 66 years
old and looked and felt like a 20-something bride!

I recently got married and Gayle did my hair as well as four of my
bridesmaids. She did a wonderful job and some of my bridesmaids
remarked they looked better than they had at their own wedding.
I absolutely recommend the trial. It was essential to have that time
before the wedding, when you're less stressed, to sit and explore
what you want to do with your hair. I had basically no idea. So we
literally explored. She talked to me about ideas, she tried things,
I gave her my feedback and she kept altering things until I absolutely
loved it. Then she took a bunch of photos so she would be able to replicate
it the day of. The day of, she was professional but fun. She had the
perfect attitude for someone you want to work with the Morning Of.
She kept me calm; she was very flexible and easy going. She even
helped my mom a little even though my mom really hadn't wanted
to get her hair done professionally until she saw the rest of our do's.
The hairdo stayed perfectly all day even with steady wind throughout
the entire outdoor wedding and the windstorm at the end, it was also
comfortable.So she's flexible, creative, easy going, easy to work with
and I think she did a fabulous job with our hair.

Gayle did an outstanding job on my hair and on top of that has the
greatest and most calm composure to make you feel at ease and confident
to find the perfect style you want for your wedding. I did a few trials
with her and was so excited to have found her -esp. with such a great
value for what she provides and professional in her services and

around while i was nervous and getting ready to walk down the aisle!

Hair + Wedding = stress! Want to know how to tame those woes when
planning a crazy wedding? SEE GAYLE NOW! It's hard to find someone
that can actually do hair that you want and travels to your location.
It's even harder to find someone that is so personable and kind to do
that job. Imagine your nerves the day of your wedding and the only
time you have to yourself that day is in a chair getting your hair done.
I not only picked Gayle because of her talent, but because she has a
calming presence. I have a lot of expectations when it comes to hair.
I'm a stylist myself - so I don't play around. She does her consults in
her beautiful, peaceful home. She listens to what you say without
that snobby, "I know what this bride needs" feel to a wedding trial run.
For my wedding, I had a lot of DIY projects. Hair was something I did
not want to do myself. Imagine curling your own hair to have it fall
flat before you walk down that aisle - horrible! Trust your tresses to
an expert. It takes a lot more than pins and hairspray to keep a 'do up
all night. Gayle has a keen eye for detail. She's professional and knows
what to do. I loved the way my hair looked that day. It didn't fall flat
nor did I have to worry about it all night. I can't imagine how else my
hair would have turned out. I trusted this wonderful lady with something
I hold dear and she went over and above my expectations.

organized, responsive, communicative, and was willing to work
with my and my bridesmaids' budgets to ensure we all ended up
looking like we wanted to look on my wedding day. I would highly

reasonable! Most other hairdressers were charging an arm and a leg
to travel to Napa, but Gayle's services were within my budget and I

Gayle is extremely professional and very reasonably priced for the
Bay Area market. I contacted several people on line to get quotes.
Some of them never returned my inquiries, and others either did
not appeal to me, or seemed overpriced. While you want your hair
to look good on your BIG DAY, you also don't want to spend an
arm and a leg! Gayle spent a lot of time with me at my initial consult
trying to determine the best style for my face. I had a few ideas, but
she ultimately came up with the final style. I never felt like I was
taking up her time or inconveniencing her; she was patient and
I could tell she really wanted to get it right. She took pictures and
sent them to me so I could decide what I liked best. She also asked
for pictures of my bridesmaids and contacted them individually
about what sort of hairstyles they wanted. . Gayle was also very
responsive and accommodating with last minute changes. On the day-of,
she was on-time and stayed on schedule. She even provided hair decor
for the bridesmaids that had elected not to get their hair professionally
done. Not only would I highly recommend her, but my bridesmaids
said they'd highly recommend her for weddings in the Bay Area.

Gayle was fantastic from the beginning. Not only did she do great hair
for myself and my wedding party, my hair stayed put throughout the evening.
Her hair styling was wonderful and she was completely professional in

has a great personality. It was so nice to be with her the day of my wedding.
My stress level was going through the roof so it was great to have someone

Gayle was amazing. She was so incredibly flexible for the trials. I was
having a hard time figuring out what I wanted for my hair and we ran
out of time to test the make up that day. She was so great at scheduling
a second trial and working with me to figure it out. My sister decided
at the last minute to also get make up and, again, Gayle was flexible with that.
On the day of the wedding, we were running a little later than expected
because my hair was not cooperating. Instead of trying to cram it in before
the limo came, Gayle got into her car and followed us to the church to help
us finish getting ready. It meant so much to me that she put in this extra
effort. She was really great to work with and I would very highly recommend
her to anyone. **On a side note, one of the reasons that I chose Gayle is that
she could give me a little more natural style. I wanted my hair done, but
I didn't want to look like my hair was plastered together that morning
and she executed that very well. Plus my make up stayed on all night
without a single touch up!
